I am John Rosno, and my goal is to publish the stories of American veterans from World War II and the Korean War and tell their stories through their equipment. I began collecting M-1 Helmets when I was a young man, buying my first one at the Bob and Rocco Military show when I was 13. Since then, my ideals on collecting have matured into the ideals of preserving the history of each every day man who answered the call, carrying these pieces into combat.

The attractive and iconic design of the M-1 helmet was the original premise of my interest in collecting, however, it developed into the fact that every time one of these men took fire from the enemy, they were more than likely wearing that flimsy piece of steel on their head.

These men depicted in my online museum are more than just soldiers, sailors, and Marines. You will find that many of these fathers, sons, and brothers were yanked from their peaceful lives for selective service and had to do what a large majority of American men in the era did. We must never forget the evil these men courageously fought to destroy.


After serving in the peace time Marine Corps from 2017--2022, I went to school for Graphic Design. You will find my print material is centered around World War II themes, and the sales simply go to further developing the museum.
